This direct-fit angle sensor (yaw sensor / steering angle sensor) restores correct ESP, ABS, lane assist and electronic stability control on the Toyota IQ (2009–2015). Built to OEM specification and matching part numbers 84307-0G050, 89245-0C030, 89245-74010, 84307-47020 and 89245-0E020.

Common signs of failure

A failing steering angle sensor commonly triggers the ESP/ASR, ABS and traction control warning lights together, along with fault codes C1335, B1010 or similar (steering angle sensor not calibrated / circuit fault). Drivers report ESP off after every restart, lane assist and adaptive cruise disabled, and on newer cars the hill-hold function failing. The car will still drive but all the active safety systems that rely on knowing which way the wheel is pointing are offline.

Fitment notes

Plug-and-play replacement, but after fitting the new sensor needs to be calibrated to zero using VCDS, Bosch, Snap-on or an equivalent diagnostic tool — the procedure takes under a minute. On many vehicles, a short drive cycle through left and right lock will allow the sensor to self-learn. Standard 5 pin connector.

Frequently asked questions

Will the warning lights clear on their own?

No — steering angle sensors must be calibrated to the wheels' straight-ahead position after fitting. Without calibration the ESP module will continue to report a fault.

Does this come with the clock spring?

No — these are two separate components. The angle sensor is sold here on its own. If your existing clock spring is also faulty, order both.

Is calibration something I can do at home?

Yes if you have VCDS or a generic OBD2 tool that supports ESP module functions. Otherwise any garage with diagnostic equipment can do it in a few minutes.
